Hatch is a Bay Area startup that develops connected devices to promote better sleep. This product combines a night light, sound machine, and a time-to-rise alarm in a single, easy-to-use device that can be controlled from a phone. With its elegant, and not at all childish aesthetic it fits in a modern home and appeals to parents and kids alike. The soft light and white noise start to come into play for midnight newborn feedings, later the colourful light provides comfort at night for preschoolers, and eventually the time-to-rise function provides guidance for older kids.
